It took an overtime contest for the Georgian Hills Cougars to win over Barret’s Chapel in a hard fought victory. The Cougars were down by two points with seconds left on the clock when 8th grader Jordan Johnson (who was fouled on a lay-up) went to the line and made two consecutive free-throws to send the game into overtime. The end-of-regulation score was 47-47. A player from each team fouled out in overtime as Georgian Hills finished the game on a 9 to 1 run with the final score being 56 to 48. The Georgian Hills Cougars redeem themselves with a division win after a hard non-division lost against J.P. Freeman on Friday. The Cougars are now 2-0 in division play.
